Seeing BlogHer '09 Through a Different Lens

So many people through the blogosphere have weighed in on all the great and not-so-great events of the most recent BlogHer conference.  But I took this time around to take a break from the scheduled sessions to spend some time with the lovely Shutter Sisters and their Chicago walkabout.  Aside from the great weather and getting to play with my camera, I got to try out the Lensbaby lens.

I don't represent them, I didn't get anything free and I was not paid to write this post!

I just wanted to share some of the cool pictures I took and that gave me a whole new way of seeing Chicago!

Aqua Building, Chicago

I never thought I'd like to take pictures that looked like this, but I'm really enjoying the very dreamy effect and how it works with the architecture of this building. We wandered over to Millenium Park, where there were more photo opportunities than I could shake a stick at!

Of course, just the regular lens on a good SLR is still pretty good if you've got the right subject ...

As you can see, I was having fun!

So while there were plenty of other fun activities in Chicago and BlogHer,  I thought I'd leave a lot of the rehashing to others and just bring you a few photos!  And I hope that in my next life I'll have more time to spend on photography!

When Joanne isn't playing with her camera and trying to come up with new, cool photos, she's admiring the new look of her blog, PunditMom, where she writes about political motherhood.
