Girl Scout Shenanigans

DSC_0004 You think I don't see it, Girl Scouts? Oh, I see it.

I suspected as soon as I saw my new box of Thin Mints. They seemed... off. Marginalized. Smaller.

But I found proof, girls.

I had a box of Thin Mints in my freezer from last year.

Behold: SHENANIGANS.

See? The box on the left is from 2009, or possibly 2008. You never know what is going on in my downstairs freezer. The box on the right is from 2010.

That is a big difference!

I've got my eye on you, girl scouts. It isn't just this either. I have long suspected that you put crack in the Samoas because no matter how hard I try I JUST CAN'T STOP EATING THEM until the entire box is gone.

Sorry. Too much sugar.

I understand that we are in a recession and the girl scouts are trying to make a buck for a good cause. I also understand that in light of the fact that I cannot physically stop consuming Thin Mints until the entire sleeve is gone, this is probably a good thing for me, yet I feel betrayed.

Next year I am buying smaller candy for Halloween. We'll see how the girl scouts feel then.
